TYLER Whatever your level of gardening expertise, the upcoming East Texas Spring Landscape and Garden Conference has something for you, said a Texas Cooperative Extension agent.

“This popular all-day program provides both ‘green and brown ‘thumbers’ with practical and interesting gardening information specific for East Texas conditions,” said Keith Hansen, Extension horticultural agent in Smith County.
Topics will include landscaping design for beginners, hydrangea gardening, new Earthkind roses, environment-protecting gardening practices and minimizing landscape water use.
Set Feb. 11, the program will be held at the Tyler Rose Garden Center. The cost of the program, including lunch, is $15 per person.
The program will start at 8 a.m and end by 3:30 p.m.
The conference is sponsored by Extension, the Smith County Environmental Horticultural Committee and the Tyler Parks and Recreation Department.
