ROTAN – The Texas AgriLife Extension Service will partner with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Services Agency and Natural Resources Conservation Service offices to conduct a “Rebuilding After Wildfire” program at 1 p.m. April 26 at the Rotan Community Center.
The program is being conducted by the agencies serving Fisher, Scurry, Kent and Stonewall counties.
“This program is for landowners hit by the recent devastating wildfires here who are interested in gathering information on the different recovery options that are available,” said Riley Barnett, AgriLife Extension agent in Fisher County.
Barnett said topics will include the Livestock Indemnity Program, Emergency Conservation Program, EQIP or Environmental Quality Incentives Program, ACRE or Average Crop Revenue Election, and comments on range and livestock management after a fire.
“The topics are items of business we feel will help landowners as they face the rebuilding process following this disaster,” Barnett said.
