OZONA – The free Post Wildfire Recovery Program is set for 8:30 a.m. May 25 in the Ozona Convention Center.
The program will be conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service offices in Crockett and Val Verde counties, the Devil’s River Soil and Water Conservation District, the Farm Services Agency and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
“This program is for any landowners hit by the recent wildfires who are interested in finding out what cost-recovery options are available to them,” said Chase McPhaul, AgriLife Extension agent in Crockett County. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to answer their questions, give them professional advice and present them with viable options.”
The program’s topics will include post-fire management, EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentives Program), wildlife concerns, wildfire assistance programs and ACRE (Average Crop Revenue Election).
For more information or to RSVP (by May 20), call McPhaul at 325-392-2721.
