GARDEN CITY – A seminar on estate planning will be conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service office in Glasscock County at 6 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Glasscock County Community Center in Garden City.
“This seminar is meant to help participants assess their individual circumstances and make decisions about the most useful estate planning tools for their particular situation,” said Rebel Royall, AgriLife Extension agent in Glasscock County. “The workshop is also intended to help participants communicate their plans with greater clarity to their assisting professional who will help them draw up their estate plan documents.”
Dr. Jason Johnson, AgriLife Extension economist at Stephenville, will be the seminar’s main speaker. His topics will include: estate planning goals, objectives and risks and financial document record-keeping organizational tips.
Johnson will also speak on basic estate planning documents including wills, powers of attorney, powers of appointment, health care directives and ways to pass along property.
Individual preregistration is $15 due by Sept. 23.
