MULESHOE – The Feed Grains Conference conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service is set from 8:30 a.m.-noon Feb. 10 in the Bailey County Coliseum, 2206 West American Blvd., in Muleshoe.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available for those with a private applicators license.
“The conference will target feed grain and silage producers on the High Plains,” said Curtis Preston, AgriLife Extension agent in Bailey County. “Our aim is to provide them with timely information on feed grain and silage cropping systems and current industry issues.”
Topics will include: hybrid variety selection, corn and sorghum silage production issues, weed management and irrigation management.
“We’ll also have a number of commodity group representatives on hand to discuss the latest industry news unique to their particular field of expertise,” Preston said.
Individual registration will be $10 due upon arrival.
