BROWNWOOD – The Texas AgriLife Extension Service will host its second Lunch-N-Learn program at noon May 3 at the Brown County Fairgrounds located on U.S. Highway 377 South towards Brady.
“This is the second in a series of programs starting in April,” said Scott Anderson, AgriLife Extension agent in Brown County. “This is the public’s chance to really learn what needs to be done or what not to do to manage and maintain a great lawn.”
Anderson said homeowners may be asking these questions: How much of your grass made it through the drought? Do you need to replace it and just start over? How are you going to manage a lawn when faced with water restrictions?
“The goal of this program is allow homeowners to get answers to these questions and any others they might have concerning their lawns,” he said.
Anderson said Dr. James McAfee, AgriLife Extension turfgrass specialist at Dallas, will be the guest speaker.
The Lunch-N-Learn series has a one-time $15 registration fee payable at the door for those who did not attend the first program in April.
