ROBY – Tyler Roberts has been named the new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for agriculture and natural resources in Fisher County, according to an announcement made by Fisher County Judge Marshal Bennett and Scott Durham, AgriLife Extension administrator at San Angelo.

“Tyler is an excellent pick for Fisher County,” Durham said. “He has a love for the area, a good working knowledge of the AgriLife Extension agency and a strong working knowledge of agriculture and wildlife that will suit him well in this agriculture-based county.”

Roberts graduated from Texas Tech University in May with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary agriculture. He also served as an AgriLife Extension intern in Brown County earlier this year.

While attending Texas Tech, Roberts served as a student assistant at the Texas Tech Animal Research Center. He has worked extensively with show cattle and in wildlife management.

In Bangs, where he grew up, Roberts was active exhibiting livestock and earned numerous awards on the district and state levels. He was also involved with area judging contests, the Bangs FFA stock show and the Brown County Stock Show.
