LOCKHART – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Caldwell County will hold a Texas Department of Agriculture private pesticide applicator training and testing from 8 a.m. -2:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Scott Courthouse Annex, 1403 Blackjack Street in Lockhart.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with training to commence at 8:30 a.m. Training will end about 12:30 p.m. with testing to conclude about 2:30 p.m.
“Those wanting to obtain a private pesticide license or supervise the use of restricted pesticides must attend this course,” said Michael Haynes, AgriLife Extension agent for agriculture and natural resources in Caldwell County.
Registration for the program is $60 per person, which includes study materials and lunch.
To ensure sufficient study materials and an accurate lunch count, attendees must preregister and pay their registration fee by Aug. 20 at the AgriLife Extension office for Caldwell County. The office is located in Suite B of the courthouse annex.
