COLLEGE STATION — The Texas A&M Foundation has named Steve Blomstedt the senior development officer for Texas A&M AgriLife, effective March 3.
“Steve’s background in development will serve agriculture well as he works with the Texas A&M Foundation team to achieve the goals of advancing the education, research and service of our college and agencies,” said Dr. Bill Dugas, interim vice chancellor and dean of agriculture and life sciences for the Texas A&M University System.
Blomstedt has been with the Texas A&M Foundation since 2005, serving as senior director of development for the College of Education and Human Development and director of development for the Dwight Look College of Engineering.
Previously, he was an area director for Young Life from 1989-2005, a controller and assistant vice president for Bayview Federal Savings in Corpus Christi from 1986-89, and a certified public accountant on the audit staff for Ernst and Whinney in Corpus Christi from 1983-86.
Blomstedt earned a bachelor’s of business administration in accounting from Texas A&M in 1983.
