BANDERA — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee in Bandera County will host the “Sheep and Goat Management Workshop” from 6-8 p.m. May 22 at the Bandera United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 1103 Cedar Street, Bandera.
“This is sure to be an informative program with something for everyone, regardless of flock size or experience level,” said Sam Womble, AgriLife Extension agent, Bandera County. “This will be a program you won’t want to miss.”
Womble said topics and speakers will include:
— Industry Update: How We Got Here and Where We Are Headed, Dr. Rick Machen, AgriLife Extension livestock specialist, Uvalde.
— Marketing Options, Machen.
— Health and Reproductive Considerations, Dr. Conrad Nightingale, Hill Country Veterinary Hospital, Bandera.
The program will offer 0.5 hour of integrated pest management continuing education credit for individuals with a Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator license.
Cost is $15 per person, including a meal and program materials. To register, contact the AgriLife Extension office in Bandera County at 830-796-7755 by May 15.
