NEW BRAUNFELS — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Comal County will present a Spring Open House from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 17 at its offices at 325 Resource Drive in New Braunfels.
The event is free and open to the public.
Coordinators said the open house will have a variety of activities and demonstrations related to drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and using mulch and compost. Attendees can also get answers to gardening questions from Comal County Master Gardeners. The Master Gardener association is a volunteer horticultural organization of AgriLife Extension.
“There will also be garden tours and food, as well as kids’ activities, including a petting zoo,” said Martha Joyce, AgriLife Extension agent for family and consumer science, Comal County.
