CANYON – A Randall County Producer Weed Management Update Meeting will be held from 9-11 a.m. July 29 by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Randall County at the Kuhlman Extension Center, 200 N. Brown Road, Canyon.
The program, sponsored by Consumers Supply Cooperative in Canyon, is free and open to the public, said Dr. J. D. Ragland, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Randall County.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units for pesticide applicators will be offered – one in laws and regulations, and two in drift minimization.
Dr. Peter Dotray, AgriLife Extension weed and herbicide specialist in Lubbock, will speak on the following topics:
– Weed Identification.
– Weed Herbicides; What’s Working, What’s Not!
– Suggested Application Methods.
– Recommended Application Rates.
A question-and-answer session will follow.
