SAN ANTONIO – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Bexar County will present a Feral Hog Community of Practice program 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 10.
The program will be held at the AgriLife Extension office, located in Suite 208 of the east court of the Conroy Square office complex at 3355 Cherry Ridge Drive in northwest San Antonio.

Day-of program registration will be from 9-9:30 a.m. Topics and presenters will be:
— Feral Hog Basics: Omnivorous and opportunistic feeders; breeding activities; conflicts with people and wildlife — Jessica Alderson, urban biologist, San Antonio; and Matt Reidly, wildlife biologist, Pleasanton, both with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.
— Feral Hog Research and Management Practices: Practical methods for feral hog control; damage to livestock and land; and disease problems they cause — Donnie Frels, Kerr Wildlife Management Area, Kerrville.
— Webinar training to help producers make significant decisions affecting them through 2018, plus process and decision-aid tools available — Josh Helcel, AgriLife Extension wildlife and fisheries associate, Gatesville.
Presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session and evaluation survey.
