COLLEGE STATION – Janet Case, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service District 3 office manager in Vernon, was honored with a Superior Service Award for Office Support Staff.
The award was presented Jan. 6 during the Texas A&M AgriLife Conference in College Station.
Superior Service Awards recognize AgriLife Extension faculty and staff members who provide outstanding performance in AgriLife Extension education or other outstanding service to the organization and to Texans.
Case, has been an employee of AgriLife Extension for 17 years, assuming her present role in 2009.
Her main responsibilities are to provide support for the AgriLife Extension district administrator in the day-to-day management of the district and supervise two other support staff at the district office.
“She leads a highly effective district office staff team,” according to her nomination. “She has been an innovative, productive and reliable staff leader.”
Case created and maintains a website that has greatly assisted AgriLife Extension county agents and county offices throughout the district, the nomination continued. Agents can now quickly submit required reports, review upcoming events and due dates, and obtain forms.
“Ms. Case has also created training to help AgriLife Extension agents and staff manage effective county web pages, and she conducts online training sessions on office management for county staff. She has created a comprehensive digital orientation packet for new agents, which helps them feel welcome and excel in their jobs. Above all, she strives to help others succeed in their work.”
