COLLEGE STATION – Thinking outside the box rather than just ranching the traditional way will be the topic of the March 5 webinar by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.
“Alternative Ranching Options” is next in the Texas Range Webinar Series, which is scheduled on the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m., said Pete Flores, webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi. There is no fee for this webinar.
“We typically focus on traditional ranching operations, such as cow/calf or stocker steers, but this webinar will briefly highlight several alternative options for your ranch to get you thinking outside the box,” said presenter Dr. Megan Clayton, AgriLife Extension range specialist in Corpus Christi.
“Typically these alternative practices are marketed directly, as opposed to traditional livestock auctions,” Clayton said. “We will cover different venues for marketing and the pros and cons of each.”
This webinar and others in the series can be accessed at http://naturalresourcewebinars.tamu.edu.
