STERLING CITY – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct an edible landscape program at 6 p.m. June 23 at the Sterling County Community Center in Sterling City.
“Allison Watkins, AgriLife Extension horticulture agent in Tom Green County, will be our keynote speaker,” said Chad Coburn, AgriLife Extension agent in Sterling City. “We’ve had some great rains, but in West Texas, with drought always just around the corner, it’s a good idea to get double duty out of as much of your landscape as possible.
“Allison will teach us ways to do that by discussing how to grow edible vegetables, herbs and flowers successfully for both beauty and table fare.”
Individual registration is $10. RSVP by June 22 by calling the AgriLife Extension office in Sterling County at 325-378-3181.
