FORT WORTH — “What’s new in pesticides for 2016” is the theme for a Jan. 8 meeting in Fort Worth, according to Fred M. Hall, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for Tarrant County.
The program will feature industry representatives as well as AgriLife Extension professionals. Applicators and producers will earn three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units plus gain valuable information that can have a positive effect on their profits, Hall said.
Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. and the programs are from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m at Russell Hall, 5708 Jacksboro Highway, Fort Worth.
The $25 registration includes all program materials and a barbecue lunch. Preregistration by Jan. 6 is necessary to guarantee a meal. Register by calling the AgriLife Extension office at 817-884-1946 or online at http://agrilife.org/urbantarrantag/program-registration.
The three CEUs include one general, one integrated pest management and one laws and regulations.
Topics include tips for better crop spraying, new products, brush and invasive plant control, and proposed rule changes in Texas.
