DALHART – The XIT Arts and Crafts Show will be hosted Aug. 6 by the Texas Extension Education Association in Dallam County during the 80th annual XIT Rodeo and Reunion in Dalhart.
“We are inviting exhibitors now to start planning and come show off their skills and wares and be a part of this exciting event the first weekend in August,” said Kay Rogers, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service family and consumer sciences agent for Dallam and Hartley counties.
The Dallam Extension Education Association, a volunteer organization supporting AgriLife Extension, hosts the show annually to raise funds for youth and adult educational programs and scholarships for graduating high school seniors, Rogers said.
About 10,000 people attend the weeklong event annually, which culminates on Aug. 6 with a barbecue and rodeo performance, Rogers said.
The arts and crafts show will be in Veterans Memorial Park at the intersection of 7th Street and Rock Island Street.
The booth fee is $75. For more information, contact Rogers at 806-244-4434 or club member Jan Meador at 806-654-0045.
