CALDWELL – A walking tour of the Rojo Ranch, a working Katahdin sheep operation, is set for May 14 from 9-10 a.m. in Caldwell.
The ranch is located at 305 County Road 108.
“This is a unique opportunity for area livestock producers to get a first-hand look at the ranch operation led by owner Robert Elliott,” said Dusty Tittle, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for Brazos County. “This is a no-cost event and topics will include small ruminant production utilizing forage-based diets and rotational grazing strategies for small ruminant livestock. There also will be a facility tour that will feature barns, pens and working areas.”
