BROWNWOOD – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has set a Texas Department of Agriculture private pesticide applicator license training for 9 a.m. May 17 in Brownwood.
The training will be in the AgriLife Extension office in Brown County located at 605 Fisk Ave.
“The license allows individuals to purchase and apply restricted use and state limited use pesticides for agricultural purposes,” said Scott Anderson, AgriLife Extension agent in Brown County.
“This training is for those who do not have a current license. It is important to note that this is not a continuing education unit training, so no CEUs will be offered.”
Anderson said those wanting to obtain their private applicators license must go through a training prior to testing. He said the test is no longer held in conjunction with the training, but license applications and testing procedures will be provided.
Individual registration is $50 and includes manuals and the training.
