PAMPA – A Fun Shoot benefitting the Gray County 4-H program has been set for June 18 by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Gray County and the Pampa Trap and Skeet Club.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the shooting at 9 a.m. behind the bull barn in Recreation Park, a mile east of Pampa off U.S. Highway 60.
“We would like to invite all 4-H’ers from neighboring counties to come join us in the fun,” said Mike Jeffcoat, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent in Gray County.
Registration is $40, with 25 trap or skeet targets costing $7.50, or $10 for an adult and child combined. There will also be an Annie Oakley class with a percentage of the money going to the club for targets. There will be first through fourth prizes awarded in each category.
Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided and all 4-H participants will receive caps and t-shirts.
Sponsors are Quail Forever and Capital Farm Credit.
