SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Extension Beef Cattle Committee will present a Considerations for Landowners program from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office for Bexar County.
The office is located in Suite 208 of the Conroy Square business complex, 3355 Cherry Ridge Drive in San Antonio.
Registration is from 5:30-6 p.m. with presentations to follow.
“This program will present a variety of topics of interest for farm and ranch owners in the area,” said Sam Womble, AgriLife Extension agent for agriculture and natural resources in Bexar County.
Womble said the program will address agricultural valuation and farm and ranch economics. U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency and USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service representatives will discuss the services their respective agencies provide to assist landowners.
Presenters will include Joel Hernandez, senior appraiser, Bexar County Appraisal District, San Antonio; Dr. Robert Hogan, AgriLife Extension economist, Uvalde; Brian Hanson, USDA Farm Service Agency county executive director, Bexar County; and Samantha Salinas, NRCS resource team leader, San Antonio.
