COLLEGE STATION – International influences on the cotton, grain market outlook and a discussion on study abroad programs will be the featured seminar presentations scheduled from 10-11 a.m. Sept. 3 as part of the Texas A&M University department of agricultural economics tailgate activities.
The seminar and tailgate activities will take place at the AgriLife Center, 556 John Kimbrough Blvd. on the Texas A&M campus in College Station. The AgriLife Extension program will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the tailgate at 11:30 a.m. The Texas A&M and UCLA football game will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. at Kyle Field.
“We want former students, current students and friends of the department to come join us for these events,” said Dr. Parr Rosson, department head. “This will be our fourth year to host a seminar and our fifth year to host a tailgate activity. It’s always a good time to network and present some of the activities we are working on through AgriLife Extension, research and teaching here in the department.”
Presentations will be given by Dr. John Robinson, AgriLife Extension cotton economist; Dr. Mark Welch, AgriLife Extension grains marketing economist; Dr. Fred Boadu, assistant department head for undergraduate affairs and agricultural economics students who have participated in study abroad programs. All are based in College Station.
