BRYAN – Beef cattle producers will hear a market outlook, plus learn more about replacement heifer and feeder cattle evaluations at the Brazos Valley Beef and Forage Expo Oct. 14 at the Brazos Valley Livestock Commission, 6095 State Highway 21 in Bryan.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 2 p.m. Registration is $20 and includes lunch. RSVP is requested by calling the AgriLife Extension office for Brazos County at 979-823-0129 or email Janice Anderson at janice.anderson@tamu.edu.
A live cattle evaluation will cover both replacement heifers and feeder cattle. Other topics include a review of laws affecting ag producers and landowners; monthly management calendar for beef cattle production; and veterinary feed directive-impact on beef producers.
One Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education unit in the general category will be given for licensed and certified pesticide applicators.
