ROUND ROCK – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Williamson County, the FARM Assistance Program and the Stiles Farm Foundation will offer the Blacklands QuickBooks Pro Short Course Dec. 5-6 in Round Rock.
The two-day training will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day at the J. B. and Hallie Jester Building, 1801 Old Settlers Blvd.
The training will be conducted by faculty from the AgriLife Extension FARM Assistance Program. DeDe Jones, AgriLife Extension risk management specialist in Amarillo, will lead the training. Jones has conducted numerous QuickBooks short courses across the Panhandle.
“Through the years, attendees have reported thousands of dollars in benefits from what they’ve learned,” she said. “QuickBooks Pro is a double-entry business accounting program often used by agricultural lenders and producers. Participants will learn to enter transactions into the program and analyze costs and profits.”
Jones said no prior computer experience is necessary to participate in the course.
Registration is $150 and includes computer use and teaching materials. Couples are encouraged to attend and will be charged only one registration fee if they share a computer.
RSVP by Dec. 1 as class size is limited to 15 to provide a hands-on experience for all participants. Payment is due upon arrival on the first day of the course.
