Paul is a media relations specialist and member of the news editing team of the AgriLife Communications department of theTexas A&M University System. He is responsible for media relations support for the Texas AgriLife Extension Service offices in Bexar and Travis counties, as well as the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Uvalde. Paul also provides media relations support for international agriculture programs conducted by the Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture, also part of the Texas A&M System. Some of his general "beats" include viticultural and Pierce's disease research and programs, Texas Watershed Stewards and watershed protection, and emergency/disaster communications support relating to hurricanes. Paul has a master's degree in communication arts from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, and more than 28 years of experience in journalism, public/media relations and corporate communications.
