ROCKSPRINGS – The Texas AgriLife Extension Service offices in Edwards and Kinney counties will conduct a grazing management workshop from 8-11:30 a.m. July 12 at the Gilmer Memorial Library in Rocksprings.
The library is between the junior and senior high schools on State Highway 55.
“This workshop is meant to educate area ranchers and the community on the current drought situation and the different options available to help them manage through this dry time,” said Tyler Bobinmyer, AgriLife Extension agent in Kinney County. “To become better land stewards, it’s vital that ranchers and landowners know and understand the options they have available to improve their property.”
Scheduled workshop speakers are Uvalde-based Drs. Rick Machen, AgriLife Extension livestock specialist, and Bob Lyons, AgriLife Extension range specialist.
Two general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available for pesticide applicator license holders.
Individual registration is $10 payable at the door.
