COLLEGE STATION — A class on using tulips in floral arrangements will be offered May 12 by the Benz School of Floral Design.
The class, which is part of the Benz Bouquet Class Series, will be in Room 108 of the Horticulture and Forest Science Building on the Texas A&M University campus.
Participants will create a design with tulips and other fresh spring flowers under the instruction of Bill McKinley of College Station, director of the school. McKinley is a nationally recognized floral design educator.
Two sessions of the class will be offered — 9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. A session costs $50 and each person will take home the arrangement made in class. McKinley said participants should bring their own wire cutters, hand pruners or shears. Registration, limited to 20 people per session, is due by May 7.
