MASON – Cody Bridges has transferred to Mason County to become the new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agriculture and natural resources agent, according to an announcement made by Mason County judge Jerry Bearden and Scott Durham, AgriLife Extension administrator at San Angelo.
Bridges, who assumed his new duties June 1, was formerly the AgriLife Extension agent in Schleicher County, a post he has held since April 2013.
“We are very pleased Cody will remain with us here in the 23-county West Central District,” Durham said. “He has already established himself as an excellent AgriLife Extension educator with a developing track record of success–not only with his adult clientele, but also with the 4-H youth program as well.”
Bridges earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in range and wildlife management from Angelo State University in 2012. He also obtained an associates degree in golf course and landscape technology from Western Texas College in 2007.
Along with a background in agriculture, Bridges’ past work experience includes golf course management, feed store sales, western wear retail sales and warehouse maintenance.He has also performed community volunteer work with multiple livestock shows including the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo and the stock shows in Coke, Crane and Schleicher counties.
