COLLEGE STATION — Dr. Fred T. Davies of College Station was recently awarded the 2015 International Award of Honor by the International Plant Propagators’ Society.
He is a Regents Professor Emeritus, Senior Borlaug Fellow in Horticulture and AgriLife Research Faculty Fellow at Texas A&M University.

Davies was cited for exceptional and distinguished service to the Society and to the membership of plant professionals.
The society is a global plant professional network that shares plant production knowledge with eight regions worldwide.
Davies co-authored “Hartmann & Kester’s Plant Propagation: Principles and Practices,” a textbook that is used internationally by universities and industry.
