LUBBOCK – Professional child care training will be offered April 16 during “Inclusive Child Care for Preschool and School-Aged Children,” a collaborative effort among the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Child Care Licensing.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the 916 Main St., 1st Floor Meeting Room in Lubbock located north across the street from the Lubbock County Courthouse, said Kay Davis, AgriLife Extension family and consumer sciences agent in Lubbock County.
“This course offers six hours of continuing education units for early childhood educators and is designed for child care providers and directors,” Davis said. “Our speakers will be Dr. Jean Paulsel, AgriLife Extension family life and child development specialist, and Rebecca Dunn, AgriLife Extension child development specialist, both from College Station.”
Individual registration is $20. Davis advised registering early as seating is limited. The registration includes lunch.
