MULESHOE – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s cotton field day for Bailey County is slated for 10 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Chris Bass Farm near Muleshoe.
To get to the location, go 5 miles north of Muleshoe on Farm-to-Market Road 214, turn east on County Road 1008 and drive 1.5 miles to the field on the left. The address of the field is 1931 County Road 1008.
“We will be touring a cotton replicated agronomic cotton evaluation, or R.A.C.E. field trial,” said Curtis Preston, AgriLife Extension agent in Bailey County. “Our speakers will be AgriLife Extension personnel and seed company representatives who will be presenting information about the trial.”
Preston said there will be no charge for the program.
Two Texas Department of Agriculture integrated pest management continuing education units will be offered.
