BROWNWOOD – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct Money Matters, A Financial Wellness Workshop from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan 27 at the Family Services Center, 901 Ave. B in Brownwood.
“Money Matters, as the name suggests, is an educational financial wellness workshop, which will address healthy saving and spending habits, credit matters and identity theft,” said Courtney Parrott, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent in Brown County. “This will be an insightful event that’s easy to understand, fun and meant to set a firm financial foundation into the coming year and beyond.”
Hosts are the AgriLife Extension offices in Brown, McCulloch, Coleman and Eastland counties. First Central Credit Union is sponsoring the event, Parrott said.
Parrott said the program and a Schlotzsky’s lunch are being offered at no cost to the first 30 people who register. RSVP by Jan. 22 to 325-646-0386. More information is also available at that number.
