ROBY – The Fisher County Cotton Workshop conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is set from 9 a.m.-noon March 26 in the First Baptist Fellowship Hall, 107 N. College St. in Roby.
Nick Dickson, AgriLife Extension agent in Fisher County, said the morning should be spot-on to inform area producers of new technologies and products available for the coming spring planting season.
“We’ll have Lubbock AgriLife Extension agronomists Drs. Seth Byrd and Calvin Trostle speaking on weed control and alternative crops for our area among other topics,” Dickson said. “The workshop will also feature a number of industry representatives speaking on their respective 2018 cotton and chemical application product lines. There will also be an auxin training offered following the workshop for anyone still needing that instruction.”
Individual registration is $10, which includes lunch. For more information and to RSVP by March 20, call Dickson at 325-776-3259.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered.
