COLLEGE STATION – New and prospective wine professionals can pick up critical information for success in the budding Texas industry during a May 4 enology workshop, organizers said.
“If you have recently opened your own winery or are considering a career in winemaking, this workshop will be extremely helpful,” said Dr. Andreea Botezatu, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service enology specialist in College Station.
The 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. workshop takes place at the Horticulture and Forestry Science Building, Room 224, Texas A&M University, College Station.
New-winery instruction by industry experts at the event will include legal and permitting requirements, equipment selection, winery design, varietal selections, marketing tips and lessons learned.
