CALDWELL – The 2018 Burleson County Beef Tour scheduled April 26 at the Broken Triangle Cattle Company, 8969 County Road 410 in Caldwell, will provide attendees a cattle market update and outlook.
The program is sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. There is no cost to attend as registration and evening meal are courtesy of area sponsors. There will be an equipment display and trade show. Registration begins at 1 p.m. with the program starting at 2 p.m.
Topics include livestock grazing and forages; pasture management: weeds and invasive plants; and farm truck and trailer laws and regulations. A cattle demonstration will also be held.
Speakers include Dr. David Anderson, AgriLife Extension livestock economist, College Station; Dr. Scott Nolte, AgriLife Extension soil specialist, College Station; and Dr. David Bade, AgriLife Extension forage specialist emeritus.
Two continuing education units in the general category will be offered to Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide license holders.
