TENNESSEE COLONY – A wildlife workshop is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1 at the Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area, 16419 U.S. Highway 287, Tennessee Colony.
Sponsors are the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Industry experts will cover various wildlife management topics, including: deer management, identifying predation from carcasses, non-game wildlife management, livestock management, prescribed burning, restoration of native grasses and forbs, and managing post oak savannah woodlands.
Registration is $30 by May 25. The workshop will offer one integrated pest management continuing education unit. The program will also include lunch and a tour of the wildlife management area.
