DALHART – The XIT Arts and Crafts Show, hosted Aug. 4 by the Texas Extension Education Association in Dallam County, promises to be bigger and better, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent said.
The show will be held during the 82nd annual XIT Rodeo and Reunion from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park at 7th and Rock Island streets in Dalhart.
“The XIT Arts and Crafts Show has been a fantastic event for families and friends to meet and shop from vendors the Tri-State area,” said Kay Rogers, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent for Dallam and Hartley counties. “Vendors have said their profits are larger due to economical booth spaces and high foot traffic.”
The Dallam Extension Education Association, a volunteer organization supporting AgriLife Extension, hosts the show annually to raise funds for youth and adult educational programs and scholarships for graduating high school seniors, Rogers said.
Vendor applications are being accepted at this time, Rogers said. Information, registration form and vendor guidelines are available at the AgriLife Extension office at 401 Denrock Ave. and online at https://dallam.agrilife.org.
The booth fee is $75. For more information, contact Rogers at 806-244-4434 or club member Jan Meador at 806-654-0045.
