4-H Family and Community Health Workshop set for July 27 in Austin

AUSTIN — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will conduct a 4-H Family and Community Health Workshop from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. July 27 at its office in Travis County, 1600-B Smith Road, Austin.

The workshop is free and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about 4-H projects and participate in hands-on activities relating to nutrition education and basic cooking and sewing, said Sonia Coyle, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent, Travis County.

“The workshop will be limited to 20 individuals and is open to youth 8 to 13 years of age,” Coyle said. “It will provide attendees with essential information and some basic life skills that will serve them for years to come.”
