UVALDE – A Texas Department of Agriculture private pesticide applicator license training for individuals to purchase “restricted use pesticides” will be held Aug. 21 in Uvalde.
The training, conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Leona Room of the Uvalde County Fairplex, 215 Veterans Lane.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., with donuts and coffee provided.
“This training will allow private pesticide applicators to use products such as 2, 4-D, Grazon P+D, Tordon 22K and others,” said Samantha Korzekwa, AgriLife Extension agent for agriculture and natural resources, Uvalde County. “However, this is not a class for TDA continuing education units.”
The cost of the training and associated manuals is $20, and attendees must purchase training manuals before the training. For more information on buying the manuals, go to https://tinyurl.com/UvaldePesticideTraining and follow the directions.
