SULPHUR SPRINGS – The Northeast Texas Fall Dairy Conference, set for Oct. 31, will provide a variety of topics related to the dairy industry presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts.
The event will be held at the Southwest Dairy Museum, 1200 Houston St. in Sulphur Springs. It begins at 9:30 a.m. with registration and ends at 3 p.m. Cost is $10, and four Dairy Outreach Program Area continuing education credits will be available.
Organizers ask that attendees RSVP with the AgriLife Extension office in Hopkins County at 903-885-3443 by Oct. 16. Lunch will be provided.
Topics will include trucking laws and regulations associated with manure-hauling; nutrient management; lagoon treatment and management; and weed control.
The program is organized by the AgriLife Extension offices in Hopkins, Rains and Wood counties.
