MARSHALL – A 4-H Record Book and Ag Mechanics training event will be held Jan. 19 in Marshall.
The informational event is free and will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Harrison County, 102 W. Houston St.
Matt Garrett, AgriLife Extension agent for Harrison County, said the program is an introduction to 4-H agriculture mechanics with opportunities for youth from third grade to high school seniors who are interested.
“This will be an introduction to the various opportunities kids have within the 4-H program,” he said. “There are a lot of possibilities for kids to learn skills that will last a lifetime.”
RSVPs to 903-935-8413 are requested.
Youth should bring a laptop or tablet if they have access to one, Garrett said.
