TURKEY – An agricultural producers conference in Turkey March 1 will be hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service offices in Hall and Briscoe counties.
The program will be at the Bob Wills Center, 602 Lyles St., Turkey. It will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. and speakers at 9 a.m. The fee is $10, and lunch will be provided.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units – one integrated pest and management and two general – will be offered.
Speakers will be:
– Dr. Peter Dotray, AgriLife Extension weed specialist, Lubbock.
– DeDe Jones, AgriLife Extension risk management specialist, Amarillo.
– Dr. Murilo Maeda, AgriLife Extension cotton specialist, Lubbock.
– Dr. Suhas Vyavhare, AgriLife Extension cotton entomologist, Lubbock.
An additional two laws and regulations CEUs will be offered beginning at 1 p.m. at a two-hour auxin training for purchasers and certified applicators of dicamba and 2,4-D choline products.
