BROWNWOOD – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s annual Lunch-N-Learn horticulture series in Brown County will start April 2. It will take place the first Tuesday of each month through July 2 at the AgriLife Extension Brown County office, 605 Fisk Ave. in Brownwood.
Registration is $25 for the series, or $10 per program, and can be paid at the door. The programs are open to anyone interested in landscaping and gardening.
“True to its name, all of the programs are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m.,” said Scott Anderson, AgriLife Extension agent, Brown County. “Participants can bring their lunch and spend an hour learning about a variety of horticulture topics relevant to this part of Texas.”
Dates and topics are as follows:
- April 2 – Trees that thrive or struggle to survive: Picking the right fruit trees for your region.
- May 7 –Landscape pests and diseases of trees and shrubs in Central Texas.
- June 4 – Earth-Kind Landscapes.
- July 2 – Lawn/turfgrass management.
