BRADY – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s office in McCulloch County will host a Private Applicator Training on April 11.
Participants will receive the training needed to obtain a private applicator license from the Texas Department of Agriculture. This license will enable the applicator to purchase and apply state limited-use and federally restricted chemicals on their own property.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the training to follow from 8 a.m.-noon. The cost of the program is $50, which covers course materials. Participants may register at the door, but must RSVP by April 8 to 325-597-1295.
Training will take place at the AgriLife Extension office for McCulloch County, 114 W. Main St., Brady. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
“This is a great opportunity for those who need their pesticide certification,” said Justin Klinksiek, AgriLife Extension agent, McCulloch County. “There aren’t continuing education units available, as this is the first-step in the licensing process for new applicators.”
