BURNET – A Ranchers Leasing Workshop will be presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Burnet County from noon-4:30 p.m. April 24.

The AgriLife Extension office is located at 607 N.Vanderveer St., Suite 100 in Burnet.

“This workshop is focused specifically on grazing, hunting and livestock leases,” said Tiffany Dowell Lashmet, AgriLife Extension legal specialist and program speaker, Amarillo.

Lashmet said more than 800 Texans have participated in this and similar programs over the past three years, and all have said they would recommend it to a friend.

Workshop participants will be able to ask questions and interact with attorneys and economists.

Each participant will receive a copy of the Ranchers’ Agricultural Leasing Handbook, which contains checklists and sample lease language.

The cost is $50 per person or $80 per couple, and lunch will be provided by AgWorkers Insurance.
