BRADY — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in McCulloch County will be holding an eminent domain meeting on May 9 at the Heart of Texas Event Center, 804 San Angelo Highway, Brady.
The free event will run from 6-8 p.m. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
“We want to get a dialogue started and cover and explain the basics of eminent domain for our local community,” said Justin Klinksiek, AgriLife Extension agent, McCulloch County. “AgriLife Extension and Texas Farm Bureau are hosting this initial meeting, and then landowners can meet independently in the future.”
Topics and speakers will include:
- Eminent Domain Overview and Texas Farm Bureau’s Position – Jeff Kaspar, McCulloch County Farm Bureau president, Brady; and Josh Beaty, Texas Farm Bureau field representative Area 7, DeLeon.
- Inside the Capitol and Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association – Richard Thorpe, past president, Winters; and Clay Jones, director, Brady.
- Personal Testimonies and Experiences – McCulloch County landowners.
