COLLEGE STATION — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host two sessions of the Preserving Family Heritage: Estate and Legal Planning Seminar in Fayette and Washington counties on Aug. 27.
Both programs will include an overview of estate and transition planning, business entities and trusts, and understanding probate and alternatives to probate. Speakers include Tiffany Dowell Lashmet, AgriLife Extension agricultural law specialist, Amarillo, and Stephanie Bradley Fryer, lawyer, Stamford.
The first program will be at the AgriLife Extension office in Fayette County at 225 Svoboda Lane in La Grange. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the program from 8:30 a.m.- noon and lunch to follow.
The AgriLife Extension office in Washington County will host the second program at the Washington County Sales Facility, 1305 E, Blue Bell Road in Brenham. Registration and lunch will begin at noon, and the program will be from 1-4 p.m.
Preregistration is $30 per person by Aug. 20, and onsite registration is $40 per person. To preregister and pay online, go to https://washington.agrilife.org/estateplanning/. To preregister and submit payments in person, go to the local AgriLife Extension office. Make checks payable to EPC Fund.
