Pond management session offered Aug. 20 in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS – Pond Management Fundamentals will be hosted Aug. 20 by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Wichita County at the Winfield Distribution Center, 1911 Sheppard Access Road, Wichita Falls.

The program will begin with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m. There is a $10 fee. Speakers will start the discussion at 12:45 p.m. and the program will conclude at 4 p.m. Speakers will stay after the program for participants who want to ask questions individually, said David Graf, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Wichita County.

Speakers from Texas Parks and Wildlife, TPW, Fisheries will discuss What is TPW Fisheries, Minimizing Golden Algae Risk, and Grass Carp and Aquatic Weed Control. How to Manage a Fishing Pond will be addressed by Bob Lusk, Ponds Boss Inc.
